Gayfiction House Does Not
Accept VISA
This website does not accept VISA
for the purchase of its gayfiction eBooks. Simply put we will not pay
a 'Registration Fee' of $750.00
plus an anuual fee of $350.00 simply to
be able to handle VISA Transactions.
Late 2002 VISA began changing
its rules for handling ADULT WEBSITES. One of those
changes was to implemnt heavy REGISTRATION FEES. In
addition they required all personal information without
any guarantee of how that information would be kept secure or confidential.
In addition to this, they have commenced to further reduce the options
available to Webmasters and we at Gayfiction House simply do not feel
that this is proper or fair.
Putting their fees into perspective,
if we sold 1000 eBooks in a year, $1
of each sale would go to VISA simply for us being able to accept VISA
and that is IN ADDITION to the PROCESSING CHARGES.
As it is, because we are classed as an ADULT WEB MERCHANT,
the processing fees are already HIGH. (Average of 16%
per transaction) Doing the math, VISA would receive on every $10
order $2.60. We simply do not
believe that is FAIR and so have decided to NOT
ACCEPT VISA for our products.
